One of the most fundamental features of S P Jain's GMBA program is the learning that takes place “above and beyond” the traditional classroom.
Twin-city model
Participants spend six months each at S P Jain's campuses in Singapore and Dubai. Here they study first-hand the business practices and cultures of Asia and the Middle East, as well Western business culture and international trends. In addition to the political, social, and economic benefits of studying in these cities, locating the program in influential regional hubs helps students broaden their horizons and think innovatively and beyond boundaries. Students learn to appreciate, accept, and adapt to a multinational state of mind. The twin-city model is life-changing, and
exclusive to
S P Jain.
Guest lectures
In addition to outstanding faculty, S P Jain regularly hosts guest lectures. These special lecture sessions are conducted by industry leaders, academicians, and distinguished personalities, often top management executives in their respective organizations. They are fondly known at S P Jain as 'Visiting Wisdoms.' They share their success stories, give participants real-world insights into how business is done, explain what skillsets are required of today's leaders, discuss current problems and trends in business, and more.
Interactions with Participants from other local schools
Both our Dubai and Singapore campuses are situated in close proximity to other schools. Participants have the opportunity to interact with and learn from students at other schools. Participants participate in festivals and events hosted by other schools, or in the annual festival organized by S P Jain. Such exposure broadens participants' cultural outlook and helps them to respect, appreciate, and celebrate our differences. This, too, is a valuable skill in today’s global environment.
Passport to Excellence
The Passport to Excellence Program is a one-year support program that teaches both communication and leadership – critical skills for today’s business leaders. This includes topics as diverse as working effectively in teams, influencing without authority, appreciating cultural diversity, creativity and problem solving, conflict resolution, and business ethics.
S P Jain recognizes that being “conversant” in one’s field goes beyond technical expertise. To this end, students will also research the culture of their industry specialization including its history, current trends, demographics, economic statistics, important literature, and leading personalities. This knowledge, too, is useful for business leaders, and helpful in job interviews.
Industry visits
GMBA participants benefit from the vibrant business environments in Dubai and Singapore with frequent visits to shipping houses, retail outlets, malls, financial centers, warehouses, free IT zones, and other industrial entities.
