S P Jain Alumni Professional Excellence Award 2009

	Jereen Mathew Vice President - Operations Accentia Technologies Ltd. (EMBA Batch 3) I work as the Vice President-Operations in Accentia Technologies Ltd. Company public listed company that provides solutions and services for the Healthcare sector. I overlook the Operations management (employee strength of 2000) as well as work closely with the vast portfolio of clients to ensure satisfactory service delivery. I joined Accentia Technologies in 2007 shortly after, completing my course with S P Jain and moved to India. I recently received the recognition for Professional Excellence from SPJain during our 2009 Alumni meet. This has been a great source of inspiration for me to persist towards reaching higher goals not only for myself but also to make proud this great institution that has been developing great corporate leaders.
	Adil Zobair Branch Manager - Jubail & Khafji Kanoo Shipping Agencies Jubail - SA (G M B A 06) I thank my Alma mater for considering me one among those who have achieved well in their positions at various companies. I feel fortunate for being part of the SPJCM family and feel extremely happy that my performance at my work place does my institution proud. I joined Kanoo Shipping as Deputy Branch Manager last year. This had been an unknown territory after I quit sailing but I was confident since I had acquired the required knowledge through hard work and the astute chiseling, by our world renowned faculty during my one year at SPJCM. This confidence helped me sail through the numerous new challenges thrown before me. Seeing my performance and meticulous handling of the branch operations and management, my directors promoted me as a Branch Manager in exactly one year's time. Presently, I am responsible for the overall growth and strategic streamlining of two fast growing branches (Jubail & Khafji) of Kanoo Shipping in Saudi Arabia, with staff strength of 26 employees.
	Kevin Thomas Assistant Manager - Process Excellence, Maersk Logistics, Middle East Area (G M B A 07) S P Jain Global M B A provided me the opportunity to join Maersk Logistics which I consider as one of the significant turning point in my life. In just two years I got many opportunities to prove my skills and apply much learning I learned during my GMBA course. In return I got the opportunity to be part of many critical projects in Maersk Logistics for which I was rewarded in many ways, including my promotion as a manager. This award further motivates me to continue doing well as a proud alumni of S P Jain.
	Aadil Shaikh Brand Manager - Middle East Neal's Yard Remedies www.nealsyardremedies.com (PGDM 05) Presently, I am working as the Brand Manager - Middle East for Neal's Yard Remedies (N Y R )which is a UK based Premium Organic skincare brand. I set up their operations in Middle East and manage the entire operational supply chain viz. S&OP, P&L, Buying & Merchandising, Recruitment & Training, Marketing, PR, etc. I started my career with KOJ Est. which is one of the largest Fashion & Beauty Retailers in the Middle East. I handled the Product Development & Procurement Supply Chain (Fragrances, Body Care, Home Accessories) for the business and handled over 30 new product launches for Nayomi in less than 2 years. I was then selected as a Business Analyst in the core team for an end -to -end Oracle Retail ERP implementation. I handled the strategy and operational process review for the business and emerged as one of the youngest professionals in the industry to have a full cycle ERP implementation experience. I was also appointed as the Change Management Lead for the project. I graduated from the inaugural batch of S. P. Jain, Dubai, and hence it's very special to be selected as one of the recipients for the Professional Achievement award .I will define my experience at S. P. Jain in two words - "Worth It".
	Amit S Mehta Associate Vice President H S B C I feel proud to receive this honour from S P Jain. The institute really cares and goes out of the way in reaching out to their Alumnus and in this way brings in a sense of affiliation. I am currently working as an Associate Vice President with HSBC. My career has been consistent in the banking domain where I have all my experience in. I have been in Banking and Wealth Management but now I am looking to add diversity to my learnings by moving on to the corporate banking side"
	Captain Zarir Irani Lead Investigator for Maritime Accident Investigations Regional Director - International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) - UK Managing Director - Constellation Marine Services LLC, Dubai Zarir at his office holding his S P Jain Professional Excellence Award 09 Captain Zarir Irani has seen himself transform from a jolly globe trotting sailor into a successful and hard negotiating business man seeking a win-win approach in all his dealings. A life changing transformation took this young Master Mariner a laborious 5 years in UAE which were filled with risks and challenges along the way. He has invested in his own marine consultancy firm of which he is the Managing Director. Today "Constellation. Marine Services" llc has a team of 12 professionals at their two offices in Dubai and one branch office in Fujairah .
